Import Reactor, the show of all shows that brings Teams all over Texas together in conjunction with another event, Anime Matsuri. Who would have thought to bring these two groups of people together to share a passion for Japanese Car Culture and Japanese Anime Culture? And while the event was off to a rough start in the beginning, it clearly picked up toward the end as the event coordinators did their best to tie up loose ends and fix the initial chaos that ensued the morning of March 18th. But while all of that was occurring, Strictly G’s was up bright and early and ready for a great show.

StanceWorks is proud to announce a special collaboration with Fatlace / HellaFlush in the form of an event far different then either entities have done before. In the constant pursuit of thinking “outside the box” in coming up with new experiences that few have been apart of, we present to you The 512 Project.

This event will occur on June 26th and will take place in capital of the Lone Star State: Austin, Texas. More importantly is not where it is occurring, but more “on what” it is occurring. I would like to present to you DriveWayAustin.

Driveway Austin is a unique motor sports training and entertainment complex located in the heart of Austin, Texas. This state-of-the-art motoring academy brings a European style and flair to Central Texas. The superb Grand Prix Course has elevation changes, signature corners, extensive training facilities and a F1 caliber track that weaves its way through canopies of trees alongside the Colorado River.

Our meet at Bear Creek Park in Houston, TX was a huge success. The park itself was massive, had a lot of shaded areas, and it was secluded from all the soccer activities going on that day. A couple of people went to the grocery store to buy the food and supplies, while the rest claimed a pavilion which wasn’t reserved by us. Finders keepers losers weepers I say. Well it just so happened the pavilion we took shelter in was reserved by a woman and her three friends, and we had a group of about 30. Thankfully, she was nice enough to share the pavilion with us.

Jeremy and Gabe manned the grill like George Foreman and Emeril Lagasse doing tag-team cooking. They both did a great job of cooking the burgers, fajitas, chicken, short ribs, hot dogs, sausages and boudin. We had sides such as potato chips, potato salad, fried rice, brownies, cake and pie. Drinks included beer, soda, water, iced tea, and a member from CentexVQ made sure he brought a little part of 6th street with him to Houston.

Sushi was calling for us at Crave’s in downtown. It was a cloudy Sunday afternoon where we all decided to meet up for some good old sushi.

During the commute to Crave Sushi. A few of us ran into some problems (literally). Hieu was driving down I-10 and suddenly swerved to avoid a big bird, while the others behind him all did the same move. We looked probably looked like a wave up from above. Hieu didn’t manage to avoid it and ended up with feathers stuck in between his grill. The rest were lucky. All of us met at Crave Sushi.

We had a few early birds arrive for worms and waited in the parking lot for the rest of the flock to swoop in. While waiting outside our appetites were slowly building up. Jon, the owner of Crave Sushi was inside preparing the seating for our party.

There were about 20 people from SGS who came to have sushi and socialize during Crave Sushi’s happy hour. The parking lot was packed, some of the drivers had to park along the street but Fernando and Naeem had VIP parking by the dumpster.
